For high tech clothing you might want to look at Ministry Of Supply. They have pretty neat textile technology and it looks dressed up

My 1-2 combo was my 10 liter field backpack and my 20 liter samsonite messenger bag. As a mobile tech those 2 allowed me to carry my things and have the ability to stuff them with as much or as little I needed without needing to check luggage

Another banger video, I’m STAGGERED at the capability of the drone, almost seems worth it for just a regular family holiday to take great videos/pictures, never mind for vloggers and such. The trousers seem like a fantastic option for travelling, they’re always one of the bulkiest items to pack normally.

Hi, Jon ! I'd love to hear any ideas on how to make an unbearably long plane trip easier. Perhaps gadgets for the head, neck, legs, some entertainment gadgets when your eyes already sore from the phone screen? I travel to Southeast Asia pretty frequently and the 9-10 hour flight is simply unbearable in a cramped plane. Cheers !

Speaking of inovation, since Victorinox now owns Wenger and I assume all their patents, why has Victorinox not replaced their scissor springs with the much better Wenger spring. Additionally the small screwdriver tip on the Victorinox is useless. It is too fat for eyeglass repair and too small for a number 1 straightslot screw. The Wenger gentlemen's knives had a very adequate fingernail cleaner. I am sure every user has innovations they'd like to see.

Thanks again the Galen Leather recommendation. I did buy the writing box and a bunch of items to go with it. It’s absolutely gorgeous. It’s my new EDC for work. Pens, Supernote (writing tablet), note books, ruler, scissors, etc. You should definitely check them out. What a beautiful, extremely well made, and practical item.

Jon - as a general question (from someone who hasn't travelled much personally), the open pockets and zips on this thing especially when it's on your back: how do you avoid being pickpocketed in the street or on trains, etc.? I was told to avoid anything with open side-pockets so I've carefully selected bags and luggage to avoid this availability but this bag seems to have quite a few of them. How do you manage that? I saw you had keys of some sort in that upper pocket...

The brilliant tool that Swiza brought to the multitool knife is the tick remover, for hickers and mushroom lovers. It's very useful in addition with a magnifying glass. I'd love to see the same kind of tool on a Victorinox. Seems that Ruike's multitools are quite good too.

How does merino wool hold up? We’re currently on a looooong trip. Almost two years in a month and some change and quality clothing is hard to come by in many of the places we’ve spent time exploring. It would be nice to find some pants that hold up well and shirts that don’t fade. Merino looks like an awesome option but I’m a little worried that it’ll be done for in less than 6-8 months.

Can the follow height of the Hoverair be set in the app?

Can I ask how you feel about out travelling with your watch? I used to wear my Rolex a lot more when I traveled, not everywhere, but a lot more. Lately I’ve found that I feel less safe wearing it when I’m away, tbh I’ve not worn it when I travel since all the lockdowns. I wonder if it’s all in my head and the press coverage about watches getting snatched has affected my thoughts.

I got a pair a of vessi a year ago and they are my everyday shoe when I don't need steel toe

I wish they made the compact with alox scales, just give me the excellent scissors, knife and multi bottle/can opener. But I got myself the Pioneer X a few weeks ago and have to say I'm super happy with it, been useful already in many little ways, also the half stop of the bottle opener on the Pioneer is a nice fidget device I discovered (clicking between full open and half stop).
